AV Advice (help out a fellow Jupitermedian)

    Greetings

    A shameless plea:

Help out a pal over at Datamation, please. Long story short, his Norton subscription is drawing to an end, wants to weigh his alternatives.

I know the question's been asked ad-nauseum around here, but he's asking for 'professional help' Go over there and post your recommendations if you can spare a minute. I always say Avast. What say you?

Err.. Are you saying you recommended Avast and he doesn't trust you?

I have avast on this box... I like it... AVG is acceptable too. Both are free so the price is right and neither are the system hog that Norton is...

I say his site rules need looking at:

Your comment was rejected because it appeared to be spam.
They don't like you mentioning product names?

    [EDIT]

Ok, I did it... But he's moderating my post because I'm a first time poster... So he should get the message...

Good work, thanks! Thought I would have to forever wear a scarlet 'S' across my chest (for spammer, not Superman - I'm not delusional)

    LOL...

That would depend entirely upon the lady... I'm much pickier now than I was when I was younger... and I actually had standards back then....

But most people use this as a single word....

Now, why do I think this thread is about to go downhill rapidly...

... because it's Friday, and we are bored and some have one-track minds

Anyway, keep up the responses over at Datamation. He's started approving the comments. We may even set a record. Thanks!
