Thread: Email "Permission" Problem

    Question Email "Permission" Problem

This one's got me a bit stumped.

One user at one of our client companies cannot send some of her email. When she attempts, she gets this message:

"You do not have permission to send to this recepient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.
    MSEXCH:MSExchangeIS:/DC=com/DC=domain:ExchangeServer"

Where "domain" is the domain name and "ExchangeServer" is the name of the server running Exchange.

First thing I'd check is that the intended recipient doesn't have one of those downloadable mail filter thingies installed (some of our faculty did that in the past). Also, is the intended recipient using the built-in mail filter in Exchange/Outlook? If so, did the sender's email get put in the Junk mail folder?

    Just a couple ideas.

I would do a quick rebuild of the recipient update services in Exchange manager and verify they are updating by building a test account and trying to send mail.
    West of House
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door.
There is a small mailbox here.
