    I have had this issue with routers....lowering the MTU helps with having to constantly reset the ISP modems as well.

    I'll probably set it to 1492 and play with it...I just set it at 1360 now just to get it to work....I'll probably fine tune it later more.

    I don't think I answered your question correctly tigershark.

    I belive you asked why did I just not leave the MTU at the default setting on the routers?


    If thats what your asking, a MTU of 1492 was set up atm dialer that goes to the DSL.

    That setting was changed by the telco company when they were tweaking the T1 line and DSL settings.

    I belive that setting and the fact that all traffic is going over 2 switches and 2-3 routers depending on location screwed up that part of network...setting the MTU lower solved that problem for me.
