    problem with my new version of the scanner

    hi whats up??

    im working on new version of my scanner ,which will include a log of the scan and another stuff

    but i have a littel problem with the time function

    im trying to set a limit to the time the scanner will have wait to respons from the targat but i cant seem to

    solve the problem

    im writing the scanner in c .

    how can i do it ??

    It'll probably be with something like poll() or select(). That's where I would start looking if I were you. Good luck.

    man 7 socket.

    use setsockopt to set SO_RCVTIMEO and SO_SNDTIMEO
