You could... But MS is talking about changing the isolation setting. You could cause a total failure of the site depending upon how you set the isolation at creation. Especially if you originally set it for AD because the users root is their home folder which could be on another server.
Maybe Im missing something but, if they are logging why can't you restrict them using NTFS rights on the users folders?
