    Thunderbird asking for password

    Hi
Why is thunderbird asking me for an SMTP authentication password, and where do I get one from?

    Hi Jonny

Go into Account Settings/server settings/advanced and check your SMTP address (should be your ISP mail server?)

If it's asking for authentication, you may have the use secure authentication checked in the server settings window.

Sometimes your AV, Email scanning will bump your POP and SMTP settings and you will have to reset them.
