    Penetration testing

    Hi all.

I'm looking to penetrate my system and I'm looking for some reliable tools. Does anyone know of an up to date password cracker I could use on my system? (XP here). I've looked but none of them seem to work when I try to unzip them.

    Thanks!

    John the Ripper - http://www.openwall.com/john/

    Cain & Abel - http://www.oxid.it/cain.html

Brutus - http://www.hoobie.net/brutus/ (might work, depends on your needs)

These all came from one page, which was the first hit in a Google search for password cracking tools penetration testing
