    i'm in a different time zone... so pardon the slow response...

    I use textpad on windows for all things programming. You can get syntax definitions for all the different languages you do and you can also save to unix/mac/windows format.

    Crimson Editor is an awesome tool. It can do Java, HTML, C/C++, and Perl, PHP and all other kinds of fun things.
