Help in RE self-modifying dll
Hi, i'm trying to RE a dll to crack it's protection, i've found the serial check routine after a getDlgItemTextA, patching is very simple (with a forced jmp), but the dll is selfmodifying and patching results in a corrupt one..
Instead trying to found a valid code seems to be too complex for my skills..
Anyone can help?
Thanks

Because it's a challenge; the dll is an application component.

Is it "protected" for some reason???
Are you violating some EULA by reverse engineering it.........or you have explicit permission ???
Just curious
