CD drive company recommendation
Greeting's
Its a simple question and I need an answer because I just want some opinions. Which is the best DVD writer to buy and is it the right time ? Because as i know blueray and some other type of DVD format by Toshiba is going to be introduced but I don't know the time.

I'd have to say Lite-On or LG.
When I worked @ Dell testing optical drives (DVD writers included) we had no problems with these manufacturers.
You could also look @ http://www.epinions.com/CD_and_DVD_B.../adv_search_~1

As much as they disgust me, I have to say Sony..............
BUT...... most of the crap is made in China these days, so the "badge" just dictates the price.
If you cannot do someone any good: don't do them any harm....

UK biased but they have reviews on DVD RW's this month
it will be in there somewhere 
I just bought a BenQ [£34 - $50] DVD +- RW
then found it too be overpriced

Unfortunately I'd have to disagree with everyone on this (though unforutnately Sony does make good burners :P).
I'd say go for Pioneer seeing as how they're the one's who created the DVD+R/RW format... And they make dual format dvd burners now (DVD+/- R/RW)
