Internet connection disconnecting
Ive recently switched ISP and ever since, ive been having problems. Most of the time when i click connect it checks my username and password for longer than usual then 4 times out of 5, it will give me an error about the username and password being invalid on the domain. Then if i do get connected it will kick me out randomnly.
I know its not a problem with my setup but what is the problem at the ISP's end?
ISP: TalkTalk (UK)
p.s. Im going back to my old ISP.

Do you have a router???
You may want to try and lower the MTU settings.....
Do have your filters on all other devices other then your DLS connection....the DLS connection should be the only thing NOT filtered.
Can you change the cables for a hoot...maybe a break somewhere???

Why dont you try and change your username/password and see if the problem goes away. You may not be able to change your username but you can always try a new password and if it doesnt work then just change it back to the orginal.

I will take a guess:
I know its not a problem with my setup but what is the problem at the ISP's end?
I don't know the exact figures but they have basically grown too big and too quickly. They were predicting around 175,000 customers and got about 350,000. I guess they don't have the kit and the staff to provide the service?

Thats exactly what i was thinking...5000 new customer per day apparently.
Let that be a warning to all you penny pinchers, the grass aint always greener...
