still use it to add printers to network .........
it's a LOT quicker to telnet in and set parameters than trying to set em on keypad 
apart from that, it is not considered 'safe' enough to allow Sys/Ad to play with s they generally use SSH to do same thing..........
HT hit it
if it IS a 'secure' network, telnet is the way to go to get things moving
but for 'real' world apps
you would try to use a little more 'security'
