chizra,
The answer is no. APs stay with the account and are not "carried over".

It's probably still there, sitting unused (Last Logged On: Sometime in 2002). There is no such thing as "carry over" for accounts, nor for changing user ID. Not that I know of, anyway, and if there was, it would be an issue for the admins and probably not worth the effort.
Sorry.
Besides, they are just AP's, easily earned and almost as easily lost.

i didnt say "last logged in 2002", i said "registered in 2002", was using it till begining 2005. then all of a sudden couldnt loggin. tried that forgot password, and guess what, password didnt get mailed to me.
anyway, liked the site, so, just created a new one, didnt think much of the old one.
as for antipoints, they come and go. but its nice to have couple of dots next to your name.
but standing true to the system- you get the points for quality posts.
poeple come with problems, you solve them and when you get a post saying- yeah that last thing you recommended, that helped, thanx.
i guess that counts, even if you dont get points for it.

guys,
sorry for the double post,
by the way, what happens to the old accounts, is there a system where if the user has not logged in for sometime, like in years, his/hers account gets suspended.
i know of websites which if you dont login for a certain period of time, it sends you a reminder email, telling to visit soon.
or like yahoo or hotmail, which if you dont login for 3 to 6 months the account ceases to exist.
does that happen

ByteWrangler: Just curious but in what part of his post did you think he could possibly be JP? Or his profile? Or anything? I'm not starting anything, I'm just merely curious.. It was just kinda random, thats all.. :P
