Sorry...but I have to agree with Galdron...like I said in my previous post there's no defined enemy, no threats, etc...which are the first things people post when they are having this kind of problem...
in this case there seems to be no culprit...just some mysterious covert operation by some unknown source...
this is a little too elaborate to be a prank...

either it's a joke or he/she has serious disorder problems.

    Eg

    Hmmmm,

either it's a joke or he/she has serious disorder problems.
Yes, I can think of just such problems...........like a jealous ex-lover or a spouse in the middle of a separation?

And neither of those fit my sense of humour....................

I am fully aware that we have not been told the facts..............well, some things are best kept behind closed doors?

This is a classical "lovers' tiff" scenario?............. and I would not describe the US DOJ as "paranoid"

If electronic communications have been illegally intercepted......................?

When I didn't have a phone, I used to send my wife txt messages from US Cellular's website http://www.uscc.com they have a text box for the sender's phone number, it will not let you send it without one... so I would always put 8005551212 in there... now it was pretty easy to tell that it was coming from the website and not an actual phone... but it did have the return address as 8005551212 when she received it... I am leaning towards Galdron on this one though ***SORRY!!!!!***

How do you know that they where lissening in on you? How do you know any of the information that was provided. Meaning how did you discover that you are being hacked?

your computer is it static or DHCP from the internet provider? if static call and have it changed.
Format the computer and reinstall the OS.
Change email address and only give this information to the people you know and trust.
call the phone company and change your phone #.

This is the only way you can be sure you get this guy out of your life.
