    Forget password of CISCO7100

    Hi all
    I have cisco7100 series router. I forget the password of this router. I am using this router in my live system. And I want my password back without loosing my configuration which i have made over this router. do you have any idea?

    This should explain it. Now the configuration can be saved if it was startup configuration if you didn't copy running configuration to startup than you will have to configure it again.
    To load startup configuration once pass has been reset you do this:
    R#copy startup-config running-config
