in need of help
ok well sometimes my computer just makes this Thumbs.db file randomly. Does anyone know what it is? and if its ok to delete it?

Yes,
It is to do with viewing files/folders in thumbnail view. I believe that it contains the cache.

It is a Microsoft file, and the behaviour is by design, unless you chose to disable it.

Nihil has nailed this one
It's just there so that when you re-open the folder etc in the future it will load up the thumbs.db and thus produce the thumbnails of images a little quicker.

These files are also highly sought after by forensic investigators...
