My school computers are extremely gay. 40mb disk space per student. (networked drive) They have a proxy app that unless it's being run on the master computer (teacher's desk) there is no access to the internet over IE, (mail, aim, ftp, etc. still worked though). Everything was fine before when I could throw my thumb drive in and run portable FF. But recently they restricted running executables PERIOD, unless they are through the ZenWorks application launcher.

Recently, someone gave me the great idea of just running BartPE with the FF plugin. BartPE runs fine and I even have un-restricted access to the whole drive on the local machine but I can't configure the network settings because I have no access to the prior windows settings (if it isn't in the app launcher you can't run it, including control panel & network settings) The school network doesn't use DHCP and they have custom DNS, Subnet, and Gateway.

I need to do one of three things:

1.) Find a way to run executables (standalone)
2.) Find an alternative to *.exe for a browser
3.) Find a way to view all network settings on the Novell system for use in BartPE

I know I can find all the TCP/IP settings in:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces"

But there lies the same problem and then some, I can't run regedit (or cmd) and I can't access the registry anyway.

I posted in noob questions because there is no real "Novell Security" board and I'm a noob for being in school, I guess. I have my A+ and Net+ if that counts for anything

Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated, I'm not trying to be a destructive student or even do any harm to the school computer(s). But I deserve a lot more local privliges than some of the idiots sitting next to me but oubviously that isn't a viable complaint to the in house IT specialist (who btw, is a dickhead).
