    Thanks to everyone who helped!

    Success!

With the help of an update for AVG antispy this morning the computer has been cleaned of all infections or atleast it no longer pops up porn adds or redirects IE to a malware site. Major thanks go to dalek for the killbox link, that seems to have helped in the process also.

    Thanks again!

    It was great!

I felt so good when AVG started fighting with pmmon.exe on boot up and after about 10 secs I got the message "pmmon.exe" has encountered a critical error and needs to close... would you like to send a report to microsoft.

I laughed so hard I almost cried.

Move On Boot is another fantastic program that allows you to delete a file "in use" on reboot. It's freeware and can be found here
