Please tell me if anything is wrong with this file..
I downloaded this free audio file at
http://www.apnaymp3.com/Songs/indian...naymp3.com).rm
and it doesn't open in media player, winamp or anything.
I tried a tweak, here it is:
1- First go to sourceforge.net website and download RealMedia Splitter from guliverkli Project. to download directly go to:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=87719
2- Extract zipped file and copy it to your system directory:
Win9x: c:\windows\system
WinXP: c:\windows\system32
3-Click Start > Run > and type “regsvr32 realmediasplitter.ax” and then click Ok.
4-Run your Windows Media Player, select “any file(*.*)” from file type field and open a *.rm file, Windows Media Player will display an error message that the selected file has an extension that is not recognized by Windows Media Player. Select check box and press ok.
Now enjoy whit your Windows Media Player!?

After getting that file from sourceforge, it did not have any compressed files, and it didn't open.
So, i got this media player http://dl.afterdawn.com/mpc2kxp6490.zip
and here too i got error.
Is there anything wrong with the rm file?

Best place, almost in any situation, would be download.com. The Other way would be from their site. www.realnetworks.com.
since I did this for you here is the link to the player... the only thing you have to do is click "download now"

Try these:
http://uk.real.com/player/?&
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/audiohelp_install.shtml
Those are links to free versions of v10 and v8
The other link is to a pay for version and you will need a credit card then cancel your order
EDIT: I just checked, and I used Real Player version 10. The link to the free version is on the right hand side of the web page. [First link]
I will download the song and mess with some other stuff. They might work if I get the right plug-ins/codecs?
