Silence On The Wire - Michal Zalewski
I highly recommend this book to anyone who's interested in a unique and
in depth book on Security. Its one of those few books that really goes "out of the box". Michal Zalewski, who is well know for his passive reconnaissance tool "pof" presents the reader his kaleidoscopic view of various security topics. He starts off with "randomness" and finishes the act with "black-hole monitoring". Various diverse aspects about security have been covered in a unique and unforgettable style. This book has the most in depth analysis of passive reconnaissance . The author is very optimistic(like most hackers) about the various hacks presented in the book. Anyway its a good read and should not be missed!.
