death ping?
can someone out there tell me about death ping........
what it is.. how it works.. how to detect when someone is tageting you with it, how to stop it or betta yet reverse the effects from the pinger.... is there any progys i may need fer it or just coding
thnx fer all help anyone has

This vulnerability is about a decade old now. Unless you're running an unpatched version of Windows 3.11, what is the concern if some clown is sending you fragmented ICMP packets?

Google it !
Works by sending an ICMP packet whose size exceeds maximum legal length(65535 octets). This causes systems to crash.

Unless you have been living in a cave for the past decade, you have nothing to be afraid of. Even if you were, you would only be subjected to a denial of service. Thats not all that a bad thing for a normal user since its casual for ancient OSs to crash often ;-)
