Question Delete file before system boot up

Hi everyone! I wish to know the possible ways to delete a file before all the processes are started when I boot up the system. For Windows 2000/XP...I tried using wininit.ini but it is not working. Thanks

That is a good question in theory I would say:

    1. Boot into safe mode and delete.
    2. Remove the process from the startup list, delete the file, and manually start the process.
    3. Use a proprietary tool that will "delete on reboot"............ this will run before the other processes, a bit like chkdsk and defrag.

Killbox is a tool to delete in-use files, if the file is running, KillBox will attempt to end the process (close the running file) and delete it.

    What is KillBox?
KillBox is a tool to delete in-use files. If the file is running, KillBox will attempt to end the process (close the running file) and delete it. For more difficult files that have loaded .dll's or are services, Delete on Reboot will use the native Windows function of deleting or replacing in-use files.

Ways to add files into KillBox:

    • Copy file names one at a time and paste them into the Combobox.
    • Copy an entire text file and use the File > Paste from Clipboard function to add all filenames at once.
    • Browse for the desired file using the browse button.
    • Drag & Drop a file from Windows Explorer to the KillBox Combobox.
