icon packs for XP
I've dl'ed some icon packs just to give the system bit a bling but I don't get it. 100% packs (some w/ 50 icons & up) just come "like that" bare bones; no installer. WTH, do they expect me to install them one by one or is there some procedure of which I'm not privy?
This is XP only.

Well, I have never seen any that came with an installer. You have to change/replace them one by one AFAIK.

Hey very_unhappy, it sounds like I am misunderstanding you here?.......... I have downloaded stuff like this before and all you do is unzip the file (it is zipped?) and move the .ico files where you have the others. Then you replace the ones you want to.
Guess I misread you, and thought you were asking for something that automatically replaced ALL icons. I do have one of those somewhere....... it makes Windows 3.1x look like Win 95 (yes, I am that old and sad) That will work because it is replacing a known set of standard icons. Otherwise you do them one at a time because that is what is assumed you want to do?
I must look for my "special" .wav files..................... you will like those.......... instead of "you have e-mail" you get "Hey! some £$%^&&**()_+ has sent you more junk mail" and instead of the Microsoft shutdown sound, you get "Muhahahahahaha, go on then get the f*** outta here!" For the startup, I liked "What you've gotta ask yourself is: do I feel lucky?.............well, do ya punk?"
acid~ is right, it would be handy if we could see the pack
