    Basically it just takes the posts made under this account, and puts them under that name. I don't believe anything else is transferred, but I've only done it 3 or 4 times, and just didn't take that much notice.

    It'll also use the password to the old account, so you'll need that or if the email you joined under is still active, you can reset the pw.
