Hi, just joined and a little confused?
Hi,
I just joined this forum, and wondering why I can view threads under each section of this forum. At the moment I can only view only recent posts(threads) for some reason.
Wonder why?
I know it's hard to put up with newbies but please let me know.
Thanks in advance
cheers.

Hello, and welcome to AO.
It sounds as if you are looking at our "frontpage" that just shows the most recent active threads?
In the yellow menubar toward the top of the page, you also have the options to go to "new posts" and "todays posts"
I think that this is just a design/layout thing. If you look to the right hand column, under "site menu" you will see an option "discussion forums" that will take you to all the sections. You use that to take you to all the posts in any particular sub-forum.
There is also a separate index to take you to the "tutorials section"

I am sorry to ask you this but I can find site menu button(link).
Could you pinpoint it?
Thanks a lot

Ah! it isn't a "button" it is a menu box full of options at the top right, underneath the site search.
It should take you here:
http://antionline.com/forums.php
EDIT: If you select the 4th. option down, that is.

Hi, thanks for the reply but, these are just new posts right?
If you select a forum, shouldn't all the list of threads come up?
At the moment I can only see stickies.
I feel like I am really dumb.. (
Please help me ...

No, it is just a nested menu/search facility. By default, the next column across just shows the last activity in the forum.
Click on any particular link under the "forums" column and you will get to the "thread" layer for that forum.
Click on a thread, and you will see all the posts in it.

You are welcome friend. We are basically a community forum site, so our layout (and navigation) is a bit different from a lot of other sites.

Wow, I absolutely hate JupiterOnlineMedia.
[rant]
This 'new' (new as in before JupMed perverted this once well designed site) site design is terrible. It's slow, non-standards compliant, and drop down menus! Do I even have to comment about how piss poor those are?
Reinforcing my rant is the fact that new members cannot even find the damn forum index. There is a a text link that is the fifth item in a list on the right side of the screen, oh and there is also a second link at the bottom of the page if you scroll all of the way down.
I guess it's not that important to put a big link to the forum index on the main page, that is since this isn't a forum site. By the way, I have been gone for a while and I am confused, what is the purpose of this site now? Before, I remember it was about security and information exchange; now the site is about advertisements, commercial whores, and...something else?
Is it really that hard to put a [FORUM INDEX] BUTTON on the top of the site!?
But oh wait, if you mouse-over the AntiOnline.com text in the middle of the screen on the left, with a folder (I think it's a folder?) next to it, then wait a few minutes, there's mouse-over text that tells you CLICK FOR FORUMS. Wow that's great, put navigation information in mouse-over text. I thought we graduated high school, my mistake.
[/rant]
I have nothing else to say.
p.s. to JupiterOnlineMedia:
just continue to ignore me and the rest of this forum's board, these forums are already covered in your piss, we get the idea, it's not like this site can go any further down hill; I am sad and sorry that I remember how this site was once very impressive
