Slackware 10.2 usb mouse problem
I run slackware 10.2 with 2.6.13 kernel (selected test26.s kernel at install).
Now my usb mouse won't work, although I choose USB Mouse at mouseconfig?
This mouse has worked before (slack 10.2 with 2.4.x kernel I think).
I.e. When I start X I can't control the mousepointer.

I think there was a certain kernel module missing, so I tried compiling one, which it didn't like. So I install slack 12, with huge kernel, problem fixed. Now recompiling a not-so-huge kernel. Things are probably going to get screwed again, oh well =).
Thanks anyway

motherboard vs. OS? Had a similar problem with the NumLock on startup with Kubuntu.
I dual-boot. The mobo is set to enable NumLock on startup, and WindowsXP accepts that. Kubuntu doesn't...I had to go into the System Settings and change the setting for the keyboard manually, although it still won't turn the NumLock on until after I log in (which is a pain in the ass, since my password contains numbers and I'm used to using the keypad to enter them )
Could there be something similar happening for you? The BIOS is fine with it, but you are hitting a roadblock during boot with Slack?
