    Gmail problem

    Hi guys

I cannot log into my gmail for some reason. I get to the page and enter my user & pass.

Once I press enter or sumbit the page just keeps loading. It never gets to its destination. It doesnt get to page not found or give an error, it just continous keeps loading.

I use latest firefox and latest IE. I use CCleaner as well.

Any suggestions how to fix this. It is quite urgent as I cannot check my email...

    Thanks.

well gmail uses a nice script or whatever, it's probably something simple like you have scripting blocked or something, try reading your email at the lowest security level in ie, or uninstalling and reinstalling if there's the possibility that you accidentally misconfigured something in firefox.

I had no trouble logging in. Have you done anything recently to you computer(added programs, changed IE settings, etc)? If you mess with javascript options in IE that can cause trouble for Gmail but they usually catch that and send you to the HTML view. I would suggest just waiting a little while and trying then.
    Good luck

I reset IE to normal settings. It seems to work now.

    Thanks everyone.

Have you tried using the https:// instead of the http:// in the url bar?

i always found when i used http://gmail.google.com it would not do anything after i typed in my username and pass, but when i used the https://gmail.google.com it would load fine.. ?

Try reinstalling Java ? Gmail uses the java engine to run so it might not load problem due to the Java installed on your system?

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html Click on the Download J2SE JRE link
That is what i have installed.... I think? ;p

Otherwise google Java and there will be other sites out there.
