    Red face FELIX & HENRIETTE

This doesn't look too good for our Mexican friends?.........hit from both sides at once!

OK, Henriette is little more than a tropical storm at the moment, and Felix is only Cat 1, but both are expected to strengthen.

EDIT: 11.00Hrs BST........... Felix is now Cat2 and strengthening.

    UPDATE:
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 165 MPH...270 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. FELIX IS A CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON
    SCALE.

Yeah, I just saw this on the news. Felix now has winds up to 100 mph. It beat the heck out of Venezuela.

    Hi guys,

This is a rough ride for the poor folks in Central America and Southern Mexico.

I keep an eye on it because I grow and show cacti and succulents

I like things down there because they have a sensible attitude to some of my prize plants............. I once sent gore a picture of one of mine that had just won a first in class in a regional show, that very day................ he told me I would get 5 in the state pen!!!!! for possession if I lived in in Michigan.......

The West Coat one (Henriette) that might just make Cat #1 will strike the Baja California peninsula.............. lots of good stuff there...... a guy came a couple of months ago and gave a lecture on his recent trip to that part of the C&S World

Currently we have Felix at Cat 5/4 about to rip cental America apart then give Mexico a slap............. and the other one steaming up the coast, maybe getting to Cat #1 by landfall on the Baja penninsula?

Fortunately, most of my interests live in the uplands, but I have friends in cities with gardens, and their lives are at risk.

    Latest:

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 160 MPH...260 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. FELIX IS A POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE
    ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON SCALE.
