    iGoogle, Web Search History

I recently set up a google home page (igoogle.com).
After setting it up I noticed the 'Web History' link at the top of the page.
I looked at my web history and as near as I can tell, every google search I've done since January of 2006 is listed!

It seems odd to me that google would need to store search history like that. I can't find any way to clear it, anybody know if there is a way to clear that history out?

yeah when you log in and click on Web History on the side panel you can click on Remove Items and than check individuals or just click Select All on the bottom and press the Remove button....

I should also mention, I did search google help and found this:
    http://www.google.com/support/accoun...52&topic=10472

It says there's a link to clear the history, but I can't find the link it's refering to.

I wasn't able to locate those links.
I went into my account and hit 'edit' next to services and then removed web search history from my google account.

I should have thought to try using IE before I actually removed the search history service, Maybe Maxthon just wasn't showing those links?

why do you want to delete the history?
Do you think tht it deletes the history from the google servers forever? Well, in most of the cases, te history would be saved with them.. Doing that would just not SHOW it up... thats it..

HA... google has a database of the things that you (personally) searched for! I would like to think that the reason for this would be the google "toolbar" that they have made. The toolbar has a feature that assists your searches by letting you view the most frequently searched topics, but to have it computer specific is kinda overboard!

its more username specific and u can pause the service if u want, my last search they saved on there is april 2006...

yes, you have to be logged it to view your search history...not the one where u type in stuff in the search box and it pops up later, this one show the results u clicked on and thumbnails of images you viewed and such...
