need more trolls
Anybody noticed that things are a little slow on the forums lately?
Do you miss any of the famous trolls who used to frequent this site?
At least it wasn't boring.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

Things have been getting slow and slower for a looooong time now.
it's getting to the point where i stop by the site and only see 3 or 4 new threads.
I take a read, if i cannot post anything worthwhile in the thread then i read the next new one.
Certainly do miss those spontanious visit's of mayhem that Spec used to suprise us with.

rehab is for quitters.
I can get the forums rolling again if you wish. Hell some people here probably still think I was whiny and defensive and serious about it. It was to stir the pot, and it worked every time hook line sinker and shaft

Meh...
I can troll if you'd like.
I can probably bring Spec back too.
Real security doesn't come with an installer.

We don't need trolls, just action
By the way, the myspace link, that really is my band, which currently consists of:
Me
My Laptop running Linux
Lame, to encode them into MP3 after I finish making it.

Maybe we should ask Nihil.
There have been times when a thread gets interesting as could be surmised from the number of responses posted but eventually, Nihil sniffs them out and the trolls get blown and banned.
One possible reason why the trolls don't come around that often is that the antipoints don't matter much anymore which means the more sane and informative topics get posted even though some of these wallow to oblivion--so to speak--when the responses become too sparse.
Si vis pacem, para bellum!

It isn't me. I would say that 99% of what I have banned this year has been spamming or scamming; mostly by "bot" accounts. You know the stuff........... online gaming, pr0n, v*i*a*g*r*a and the like.
I think that the lack of trolls is just part of the evolution of the net, as it seems to have declined on other sites as well. It is almost as if the "novelty" has worn off and they are up to other things?
I will comment that I do not normally ban Trolls............. I leave that to the membership, unless it is something totally out of order likre racism, CP or whatever. I must admit that, like rcgreen, I find them mildly amusing
I think that our new site software and antispamming measures might have some effect as well. New members posts are automatically moderated, so it is no longer easy for a Troll to just join and post their nonsense without hinderance.
