Well, I may seem to be a bit disturbing but I am an Indian and I really do not know what Halloween is.
I saw Yahoo! homepage and Google Homepages show something like Happy Halloween. Gogle search was not of much use neither was the glossay. I was unable to understand what definitions have been given to this term/day.
Can someone put up some light on this. Seriously, I am not aware of this day/night ..... whateever! I think this is a night when you all light up candles, wear some strange dresses and dance/enjoy. I do not know it that is right or not. I just wanted to know .....

Halloween has alot to do with farming. Thats why people put out pumpkins and candy. And if you're in a tourist area there are usually hayrides. All the spook stuff is the result of Mexican indoctrination.

Halloween is different things to different people. To kids, it means dressing up in costumes, and going around to houses, and getting free candy. For other people, it is about having the crap scared out of them... it centers around ghosts, zombies, vampires, werewolves, and anything scary. I am sure someone else can give you the history and origins of halloween, but these are the basics. Some religions don't celebrate halloween because they believe it is demonic or evil. For a more in depth explanation, check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween

It's odd they think it's Evil because it also incorporates All Saints day which is Christian.

There is a good chance that Jesus wasn't born on a sunday or even the months that alot of people believe he was. The theme of easter for example is a bunch of bunnys and eggs. Its clearly a holiday about sex and fertility. The symbolisms behind the eggs should be enought. This particular holiday was probably very Greek or Roman in origin.
Im not much on freemason-ish conspiracy theorys but did anyone ever think that this is all the working of estoric organisations? If thats the case and if you dislike the new world order of things then yeah... its all evil.

Well, it is now all saints day. I am still watching scary movies.. I just got done watching the original Salems Lot... one of the better vampire movies I have seen... even if it is 3 hours long... gore I have been using your music as theme music all day... both my wife and my neighbor loved the Halloween remix 'The night he came home' ... very nice work... it was a nice touch for our small halloween party... please keep AO posted on any new stuff... I would love to see something with the exorcist theme... or hell if you wanted to get cheesy, you could even do that adams family.. *heh* well, the booze is kicking in... obviously... I am watching constantine... not the greatest movie... but I have exhausted my library of horror films... I have, however, taken a page from gore's playbook.... and decided to add a couple of splatter movies to my collection... by the way gore... what do you think of the new mainstream grindhouse movies by tarintino... I don't think that is spelled right, but I am kind of drunk, and don't feel like doing the 'ol google spell check... so take it as you will.. you are the expert on these sorts of things...

Westin:
Thanks seriously. that's one of the biggest compliments I've ever been given... Seriously thank you.
And using my music for a sound track to your Halloween... THANK YOU! THAT is a hell of a compliment to me as well.
As for the Grindhouse stuff; Well, I liked the new movie, I thought it was great. Death Proof took a LONG time to get something going, but the ending was awesome and made me laugh.
Big Muscle cars in a high speed chase to catch a nut job and then kicking his ass for what he's done, YES!
But they could have done a lot more. I mean I love the small things, like the poster of Johnny Cash in the bar saying "CASH ONLY!".
And other small things... Ummm whoever designed the posters should be fired since the car on the poster isn't the car you see in the movie.... Look close, where the hell is the thing on the hood of the car on the poster?? lol.
But yea Grind House style movies, even though I know the intention is to be crappy but shocking, I love it. I really do. It's like punk rock, they don't try to play the hardest to play stuff, they sometimes couldn't even actually play, but they had a message and made their point.
Reefer Madness for example, is, oddly enough, a Grind House movie. They played it in a lot of them. I of course love that movie and the overall bullshit message of it saying pot is going to destroy your life.
I REALLY like the movie "Burial Ground" I think that one is great on the simple effects of "Wow this guy FILMED this ****???".
I mean seriously in one scene the little boy who's already creepy as hell is trying to finger his Mom and once he's turned into a Zombie she lets him try and bites her boob off. It's great lol.
Anyway, thanks again, and Happy Halloween.
