Exclamation RAID 5 logical drive problem

So to make a long story short:
We had to swap some drives (RAID 5) in a machine (HP DL380 G3) to get some data off of them, when we put the original drives back in it wouldn't boot. The array card saw that there were two logical drives but just no love.
Anybody have any idea of how to recreate the data? I've looked at Runtime reconstructor but it doesn't understand the setup.

I'd go through all of the steps we've tried but they are far too numerous, so throw me some uber l33t tech kungfu kind of ideas, ya'll.

    Thank in advance.

    If you can help

    Hmmmm,

I will assume that you have tried new cables and so on.

We had to swap some drives (RAID 5) in a machine (HP DL380 G3) to get some data off of them
Why? was there a problem? Also did you actually replace them with other drives before returning them?

I've looked at Runtime reconstructor but it doesn't understand the setup.
IIRC you need to connect all the drives to a non-raid controller before using Raid Reconstructor? I believe the system needs to see all the drives as individual items.

    How many drives are there?

Will the machine boot from a Windows CD?

I am wondering if it might be a BIOS problem. I have heard of them changing drives' priority in the boot order, so it may not be finding your boot sector?

Here is a tutorial on using Raid Reconstructor:
