Thumbs down Scan & Repair Utilities 2007

If you have Scan & Repair Utilities 2007, you may have more than you bargained for, as it is now being reported as a possible rogue security application.

If you have it and you didn't knowingly and deliberately instal it, then by definition, it certainly is a rogue application.

As usual, you may send your hate mail to Scan & Repair Utilities 2007’s site, www.ScanAndRepair.com.

No wonder there are so many spyware problems... people at least attempt to scan with antispyware tools, and the tools themselves turn out to be more malware.. like I said in a different thread... I always check out at least a few reviews/forums before downloading any security programs... can't be too careful...

This is a useful tool IMHO:

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/rogueremover.php

However, be warned that the database is quite small at the moment so a clear scan doesn't mean that your system is clean.

And this site has listings of suspect items:

    http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

It only lists the 2006 version at present, but 2007 seems to be the same
