Question is not "Why are you Online"
Question is "Why are you Off line"
As a matter of interest, is the proxy running on Windows or Linux? Do you have a link for the proxy program or other recommendations for Windows software if your OS is Linux? Finally, do you have it running in a workgroup or domain environment? I presume that your children don't have access to change the proxy settings in IE.
That means u can actually control the lan setting of ur network though "internet option" and control the browser to restrict the sites which we dont want the browsers to use..
Can you put a light on the above statement and clear my point of view?
and secondly can you give a small toturial on the Internet options --> Lan setting / Proxy setting?

about the proxy question... you can put in type/ip/port of a proxy in that box. A proxy works in several ways. It can provide someone anonymous access to the web or it could be used to filter content (such as blocking unwanted sites)
Ignatius The serving computer is a dual boot. When using Linux the proxy program is squid. When using Windows XP the proxy program is proxy, you can find it on AnalogX website http://www.analogx.com
KingKong I don't have a tutorial tucked up my sleeve. If there isn't one already on AO, try googling Eldergeek, go to that website, he has all sorts of good stuff on XP
