Hi Guys ,
I had enough VMwaring, so i decided to double boot winxp and ubuntu 7.10
having ubuntu 7.10 as my personal OS and keeping Winxp home edition for developer purposes

i wanted to make things clean.. so i put the winxp recovery disc
formatted to a brand new winxp
then i put gutsy for downlaod.. finished downloading it..burned it... booted from CD
i checked the disc.. all is fine ! i started installing using pretty much the default settings
http://www.fsckin.com/2007/09/28/how...nical-support/
on partitioning i used the guided partitioning , left the % to its default..
things were more like .. next next forward .. i was happy i detected automatically the wireless network and could browse easily while it was installing
i didn't browse heavily.. i wanted it to finish
so.. i could boot ubuntu.. i was all happy.. i rebooted it
to make sure all is fine
then i wanted to check back my winxp
it is giving error 29 : disk write error
i checked the /boot/grub/menu.lst

so any idea how to boot back my winxp?
any troubleshooting tips
appreciate the help
and yes i googled
