    Hi there Cider,

Can you tell us what steps you have taken so far and what tools/utilities you have used.

Also, what environment we are in .............. like is it a stand alone machine or on a network, and what the OS is?

What makes you think that you are still infected............I am wondering what is actually detecting it?

    Hey there Nihil.

From what I can gather he is running XP. Its a stand alone machine. The person plugs there USB stick in and seems to still be there.

The person just used the Active scan and removed it as indictaed.

Sorry I cant give you any more detailed information as the person giving it to me is quite a *****.

I am wondering if the USB stick is the source of the infection?

I have seen a few cases of USB sticks, external HDDs and RW CD/DVDs recently.

    Cider:

Have 'em turn off that system restore thing. And then clean.

That is supposed to be in the Panda instructions:

    • After deleting this malware by following the specified steps, if your computer runs Windows XP, click here to find out how to eliminate it from the _Restore folder.
