Can I just hijack this thread temporarily please?
One of my colleagues just asked me a question about VMWare that I was unable to answer, so thought I would throw it out here, as I know MsMittens and Cemetric are VMware guru's.
The VMWare in use is VMware Workstation 5.5.5
When taking a snap shot, a lot of disk space is used up - currently the base image is 3GB but each snap shot is around 743 MB and there are 8 snap shots - obviously a lot of space is being used by them - as I understand it each new snap shot relies on the previous one, so if the first 7 were deleted then the 8th one would not work correctly.
Is there away to either consolidate the previous snap shots - or take a new one that doesn't rely on the previous ones, therefore allowing the previous 8 to be deleted?
I know it is off topic for this thread so if someone wants to split it and create a new one that's fine - was just making sure MsMittens and Cem saw it
Thanks.
