Microsoft Releases Protocol Specs
Hey Hey,
I bet everyone in the open source and security communities is just loving Europe right now... as they drove Microsoft to release their protocol specs.
As I'm sure most people have read, last week Microsoft opened up their office document formats.
This week they've released their communication protocols
Not just some off them but most of them.. a few things are missing but anything in core Windows is there... DCOM, COM+, Remote Desktop, NTLM over HTTP (as a few examples)
This is huge for a lot of people... I have a full write-up I'll be posting later and I"ll include it here as well, but I wanted to share this with everyone.

Wow - far too complicated for me! I look forward to the write-up. I hope I'll have a better chance of understanding that than the originals.

Ignatius... sorry to disappoint.. I'd take forever to decipher each of those for people, although as I read some of them, I may attempt to...
I did a write up on what this means @ http://www.computerdefense.org/?p=450
