    Talking Hacking a Human ?

"University researchers conducted research into how they can gain wireless access to pacemakers, hacking them. They will be presenting their findings at the "Attacks" session of the 2008 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy. Their previous work (PDF) noted that over 250,000 implantable cardiac defibrillators are installed in patients each year. This subject was first raised along with similar issues as a credible security risk in Gadi Evron's CCC Camp 2007 lecture "hacking the bionic man"."

just blast them with RF.. these things have low enviornmental RF immunity.. so anyone near an RF field, ie PD car, etc.. even Cell phone (high powered or close proximity) send most of this equipment spacko..

this is a more civilised approach to fecking up the medical equipment..

My question is...who would be so heartless to do something like that intentionally?

"Hey! Watch me kill this guy!...I can hack his pacemaker! W00T!"

I thought this was going to be on social engineering :-)

Sounds like a great extortion gimmick. My fairly comfortable father in law has a pacemaker. Hmmmm... just kidding of course
