    Question Wireless Router

    hi,

i have this linksys wireless router http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper but it accidentally burned out , so i need a new one. i was initially going to get this one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....#productdetail cause it was one sale, and i thought it might be a step up. however after finding the price of the my first one, i had second thoughts. amazon has it for 99 usd, and the latter for 79. so why was it more . the prices seemed accurate cause i saw them more than once. 9 times out of 10 the one that cost more is better. honestly, i dont know too much about wireless networking, but i would like to upgrade. it would really suck if i found out i lost something good , cause then i would really be pissed . i need some help with this one. any input is much appreciated, cause i need a new one asap.

    thanks

The WRT54GS (the one you linked to on BestBuy) has everything the BEFW11S4 has, and then some. There is no justification for the price difference, and $99 for the BEFW11S4 sounds ridiculous (I had one of those before I bought the WRT54G, and back then it wasn't even $99). Go with the WRT54GS and pocket your savings

i had a feeling. but they actually went and got the WRT54G which was the other one on sale for about 45 bucks. not the speed booster but i guess it still works. after hookin it up though i realized that it even had far more to offer than the BEFW11S4 did too. so i guess i still made out pretty good. thanks anyway.

The "S" just stands for "Sullshit" - yeah, I said that, Cisco!
