    Sources

Hi. I'm looking for either precompiled or source codes for various virus/trojans that are out there now days. The reason for this is because me and a friend are in the process of creating a program to cleanup and protect against these threats for our business that we run. Like I said I don't care if it's compiled already or not just as long as it's a real virus and I'm told what it is before hand. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Just setup a honepot and you'll get everything that is in the wild.
    Enjoy!

    Hmmm,

The big problem I have with your post is knowing where to start.............. I read the other day that there are now over 1 million malwares out there

These links might help................ remember, you do this at your own risk. Do not use a production machine or one that you do not own.......... I would suggest that getting hold of a few PIIs or PIIIs for experimentation...............after all you are interested in principles rather than raw performance?

You could just cruise porn sites and download warez for a few days and collect several ;-)

Trouble with that is you cannot be certain what you have?

There is a CDC spin-off site called "offensive computing"

    http://www.offensivecomputing.net/

Where you can upload stuff for analysis.

Sorry it was meant as a joking comment thus the ;-)

Actually IIRC there was a torrent uploaded to piratebay that was a collection of viruses, but that was some time ago.... just checked. They come from this website http://vx.netlux.org/

    Yes, I saw that

My point is that the OP needs "certified" or known material, rather than unknown quantities?

Hey guys, Thanks for all of the sources and such. I'm not interested in establishing honey pots or anything but these links are proving out. Places with uploads for analysis is ideal for me as I know what the virus is, and it's pre-compiled ready to go. The rest will work fine too but if you know any more sites that are like that post away Thanks!
