    M$ "weathers the storm"?

Apparently M$ are claiming responsibility for the decline in the Storm botnet. Their anti-malware tool that gets updated every patch Tuesday has been hunting for this, and disinfecting machines for several months now:

They never seem so quick to claim responsibility for the problems they create.

I fail to see how it's microsoft's fault that nobody even touches the group policy editor... or even sets themself up as a standard user for that matter.

It's not necessarily their fault, but they don't seem to go out of their way to suggest to people that they might not want to run as Administrator.

I'd say they've gone out of their way to suggest a number of things...

They suggest not running as admin under protecting your kids where they suggest giving the children limited accounts...

Their videos are also very helpful -- http://www.microsoft.com/protect/videos/default.mspx
