lost password
Okay, so i've written down my created password, and lost it.
I am still logged in to the site (for now) but i can't change (to something know) the password without creating a new one. I've sent an email to the administrators, but have yet to get a response.
Is there any way to recover it from temp files, or cookies or anything?

There is probably a "retrieve lost password' on what ever site it is for. Look around for it..

This can solved by use "Cain". You will find all password for your web login and email login in cookies. details go their website:"http://www.oxid.it/".

Incorrect. Cain only sniffs passwords being sent over http and https and since they arent being transmitted that wont help.

Cain does a lot more. If the passwords were cached in IE then cain has the capability to dump the secrets. However, I'd guess that this won't do any good because they probably weren't saved in the first place. In the case that the password was saved in Firefox, then you can either tell firefox to show the passwords (somewhere in preferences) or use a tool like firepassword to dump the firefox passwords to a text file. I suggest you find the "lost password/ forgot password" link mentioned earlier in the thread.
Good luck with that sir.
"Do you know why the system is slow?" they ask
"It's probably something to do with..." I look up today's excuse ".. clock speed"

Pop down menu
I'm not aware of a way to recover your password from temp files or cookies. What you can try is type in your log in name then click the password box and see what pops down for suggestions. Use these to help remind you.
