How Much I Downloaded
Hi AO's
Well my ISP is very expensive
as for example we pay 169$ per month for a 512kb speed that is 4meg i guess
which also has a limit of downloading up to 10GB only.
and if you download more then the limit then it would be charged as
29$ per Extra GB downloaded
now what i required is a utility which will calculate the total downloading done by my computer to keep a track of my total downloads for the month
so that i don't exceed my limit and finally don't have to pay extra to them for downloading.

I have been using NetMeter for a few years now, it's easy to install, and even easier to setup.
You can set it up so that once you have used a certain amount of Bandwidth it will notify you that you have used the allocated amount etc etc
anyhow here's the link:

Well your ISP should email you "usage statistice" on a daily basis.

Actually they don't - they provide you with a link that you can access and see how much bandwidth you have left.
Ironic really.
I blame you cos my mind is not my own, so don't blame me if I trespass in your zone!

Actually they do. We have an option to go to a link which you have now explained and an option to be emailed on a dialy or weekly basis on the usage you have used.

Hey guyz,
They have the link to check our usage but but but,
i am a rented tenant in the house and so the bill comes on the owners name
Email ID of this as well as the account details are with him not with me
so those options are out of question for me and secondly the owner stays in Greece not in my country...

I use this program at home it only privides statistics for the computer its on so if you have multiple computers it will more than likely defeat what you are trying to do or at the least make more work in determining the total from all computers. But at the very least its a nice program to install and rather accurate as well

DU Meter is what I used to use, Id also recommend it. Keep in mind everytime you visit a web page you are downloading the html/css/JS/images/etc so that will be counted...
