have been using NetMeter for a few years now, it's easy to install, and even easier to setup.
You can set it up so that once you have used a certain amount of Bandwidth it will notify you that you have used the allocated amount etc etc

    anyhow here's the link:

    http://www.metal-machine.de/readerro...pmod;dl=item14
i started using this netmeter it is a pretty good program an easy to use software.

but But BUT!!!! as i came across that i have exceeded my downloading and uploading limit i stopped downloading it but still the downloading and uploading figure was growing.

and finally i realized that this very software is also including data transfer as a download and upload

When ever some of my network computer take data from my files is considered as upload and once which i borrow from network computer is considered as download even the same for CD writing/flash drive transfer copy to or from external drives is as a UPload or a DOWNload

but actual requirement is the once downloaded and uploaded from the internet and not the removable or network data transfer.

now what do you suggest for this very problem
Question is not "Why are you Online"
Question is "Why are you Off line"

    Hi,

First of all check to see if there are any advanced settings. Also can you turn it on and off?

I suspect that you are going to have to buy a commercial product that is designed for use with networks. These let you select what to monitor.

Some ISPs will provide a meter for their connection/service so check that out.

Do a google search for "internet meter" and "bandwidth meter".

    Here is an example:

Unfortunately, most software suppliers assume that all networks are commercial installations so they charge for their product.
