Hi googlistics, I would suggest you to download an anti-virus software, a free one or a trial version. Both will help you out.
Actually, traditional antivirus products are not very effective against fringe malware such as adware, spyware and scareware.
There are specialist applications that stand a better chance and after that specialist tools.
but take my advice and don't download the latest version of AVG because it's crap!! so not worth having it although it's the latest version
Well, the earlier version isn't supported so that isn't to be recommended.

Just disable the AVG toolbar and LinkScanner.
