    Outlook 2007 -_-

    Hey all

I know outlook pretty well but I cant seem to figure this out.

Out staff have 1 exchange account and 1 or 2 pop accounts.

Now if I set the pop acc as default and you create a new msg it will send from that acc by default which is what I want.

However on replying it swops over to the exchange account by default.

Anyone know where the setting is or does it do this because it is exchange?

POP3 email account properties> smtp server

Set your pop accounts to use the external smtp server if you can.....some ISPs do not allow you to send through their smtp servers unless you are connected to them.

Yes i Have set it to use smtp authentication, is this what you mean?

    See the screenshot attached.

Does this have anything to do with the setting though?

In the send receive...you should have options on what account you want to send\receive from.

you should have a couple accounts tied to the profile if you are using both exchange and pop3...and you should to be able to choose which account to send\receive from the dropdown box...all accounts, pop3, exchange etc

Yeah I know that but im talking about sending from an account by default ...

When you reply to an email it defauts to a different account other than the one you have made default in data files.

Create a different profile and use OWA?? Change the users AD default smtp setting to user@popmail.com. unclick update settings from default receipient policy

or...use the ISPs webmail to send.
