Streaming server
I've been wanting to be able to stream my media files over the internet, but have only found VLC to do anything close to what I want. VLC is great if I'm at the computer serving the streaming media, but is there any way for me to have control (which files are played, play, stop, fast forward) of the media being played at the client side? Maybe VLC is capable of this, but I don't see how you'd do this anywhere. Ideally, I want to have an html list on my webserver (which obviously isn't the problem) with links to the media on the server, so I can pretty much view my media from anywhere. I don't care how they're played on the client end(through windows media player, or VLC, or whatever). There may be an easy way of doing this, but if so, I'm completely missing it.

Check out Orb. I've been using it to stream my home music collection to work. I've also been using it with usirius to stream sat radio to my blackberry.

Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

Thanks! I'm surprised I haven't found this already.
