firefox freezes in vista?
Hey, been a while but I seem to have this problem with firefox (still 2, not 3) where I will be surfing along minding my own business, and click on a link or type in an address (no it doesn't just do it to certain addresses) and it will just stop loading, sometimes saying stopped in the bottom left corner... sometimes in the middle of loading and just wont finish... anyone else have this problem?
Vista Home Premium
Firefox 2.0.0.16 build
connected wifi
if you need any other specs let me know...
thanks

Hey there
May I ask why you havent moved to 3?
I didnt have any problems with 2, only with 3 when it came out but its fixed now.

My first suspicion is with plug-ins.............. try disabling them and see what happens.
Then try deleting and reinstalling FF.
Then try updating to FF3
Most times I have found this sort of thing to be due to a plugin that didn't update properly.

well I spend quite a while tweaking this build so I was in no hurry to get FF3, It has been doing this before I tweaked it so I know that these are not the problem... Plus Cider I wasn't in a hurry to switch to something that has had so much problems, so I will remove all plugins, then if that doesn't work I will switch to FF3... thanks for the ideas!
good to be back
