Brother, you can't, short and simple. Look at the "Great Firewall of China". It is controlled and run by the government and even with all the resources at their finger tips, they can't stop it or control it.
Find another cause to fight for.

1803,

You seem to be trying to find a "solution " for a non-existent problem.

Your country already has a state telco monopoly and filters content, so why not talk to your government?

http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post...month-dsl.html

$3,355 (USD) a month to visit pr0n sites?.................. I don't think so

EDIT:

As SodaPopinski has shown, there is filtering software available for desktops and servers.

What you have to consider is how to keep the "blacklists" up to date? I honestly don't think that attempting to block pornographic sites at the ISP is an economic starter................. it would demand far too many resources.

I agree with Soda Popinsky and nihil: use Opendns

https://www.opendns.com/smb/start

Create a free account with them and you can choose to filter out globally pr0n sites

-This is your best choice for now

btw, there will never be a foolproof filter for anything on the web except "deny all connections"

Hmmmm,

btw, there will never be a foolproof filter for anything on the web except "deny all connections"
That is very true. You close down a "bad" site and two others open in its place. You pass a law proscribing something and they just move to another country where there is no such legislation, not to mention TOR, anonymous servers and the rest.

Basically, you cannot legislate morality if people wish to be amoral or even immoral. Which then takes us dangerously close to a debate on the definitions of morality and even "pornography"?

This sort of thing can only be realistically approached at the individual PC or institutional server level.

If, for example, I ran a small company, I would seriously consider a "whitelist" approach.................... "This is what you can look at and nothing else. If you can demonstrate that it interferes with your legitimate activity, then I will change the rules".

I think it is possibly time for another "Economics, Politics, and Reality 101"?

1. We are dealing with a country of some 16 million inhabitants of whom some 4% actually have internet access. I have no details of how many of these access points are private as opposed to institutional.

2. My current, personal, private, connection would cost $22,000 (USD) per month.

3. What price that the people visiting these pr0n sites are rather well established with the authorities?

4. If you "mess with the Man" only one thing will happen?........... you will be found face down in a back alley covered in dogshit with a chalk line drawn around you (CSI........... in Kazakhstan?.......... forget it)

1803 be careful with what you are trying to stir up
